[00:00:43] I'm a member of Omega Sci Fi fraternity.
[00:00:48] Greta the Tittle Tattle prattled on about the little metal bottle. She spat a bit of spittle on the modern brittle cattle in a bitter battle. Hey, hey. Stop questioning my methods, okay? I was chosen for this task for a very good reason.
[00:01:03] Instead of Shut up, say, wilt thy hastily shut your loquacious mouth.
[00:01:10] Instead of saying, get away from me, say, wilt thy kindly aggress from this particularly irritating situation.
[00:01:19] Instead of saying, you look terrible, say, your appearance today is a fascinating deviation from aesthetic excellence.
[00:01:30] Instead of, brr. Say, my good fellow, I am utterly astounded by your actions.
[00:01:38] Instead of w.
[00:01:40] Say, a most glorious trial.

[00:01:55] What's happening? What's happening? What's happening, everybody? What's on? Going. Going on, everyone. Welcome to another episode of Mandatory Overtime. I'm your main man, DJ High Star here, and I appreciate y' all joining me. The aim here in Mandatory overtime, of course, is for us to recalibrate and redefine manhood in our community. And that's with each conversation. I appreciate y' all joining me for the conversation because we need y'. All, you know, you need two people to have a little conversation, or more than one.
[00:02:23] Simply a, you know, audio journal of an 80s, baby. Social, experimenting, consistency. You could have been anywhere in the world, but you're here listening to me. And for that, I appreciate you. Thank you. Thank you, thank you. Don't confuse this with the man knows fear. It's just a place where the man is fair.
[00:02:39] So pull up a chair, like, comment, subscribe, share, and make some noise, y'. All. Cause your man is here.
[00:02:47] You heard?
[00:02:49] Reporting live from the 704 Charlotte, America was, honey, the.
[00:02:59] Like that. Like that. Y' all know, of course, as always, got to make sure he not in no, like, funny government files or anything like that. But I got a Russian sound engineer in. A check, 1, 2.
[00:03:16] A check 1, 2.
[00:03:18] Work.
[00:03:21] Let's go to work.
[00:03:22] So this week, y', all, as you may have heard, the opening ad, or commercial, if you call it, is what I'm starting to call these little commercials. They're not paid for. Theirs are just. These are just selected by me. Things that give me a chuckle or entertain me throughout the week. You know, I may play as a commercial here. So that commercial is actually a part of the revision and revising from last episode. I kept mentioning a second commercial that I had to play for my sponsors and things like that and never played it. So that is what I played at the beginning.
[00:04:02] It is again by Galen Williams. I shouted the brother out last week, but Galen Williams on Instagram.
[00:04:11] So shout out to that brother, you know, and that's how kind of our revisions and everything like that for the week so can go ahead and move forward, get right into building wisdom.
[00:04:24] Is that prince for king? Come here, Prince. What's today's mathematics? Hey, yo, no disrespect, but we ain't in all of that, son. Build, destroy. The build is to elevate the mentalities of self and those around self to add positive energy to every nation. To build, you must first start from the root, which is the knowledge foundation, and add on to the highest peak. To destroy is to eliminate and destroy any and all negativity activity that enters my cipher of supreme harmony.
[00:04:50] Peace, God. Peace, God. Come on, sir.
[00:04:54] Do the knowledge. I know you gonna dig this. All right, so we're gonna go ahead and get to it this week. First piece of wisdom that I want to share with y', all, it's from cousin Jerome. In the group chat, it says, this is from Mega, Mega Medgar Evers. Forgive me, y'. All.
[00:05:15] When you hate, the only person that suffers is you. Because most of the people that you hate don't know it and the rest don't care.
[00:05:23] Facts.
[00:05:25] Thousand percent facts.
[00:05:30] This next one here, it's from Denzel Washington. At the end of the day, it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about what you've done with those accomplishments. It's about who you've lifted up, who you've made better.
[00:05:45] It's about what you've given back.
[00:05:48] Shout out to Denzel.
[00:05:51] Uncle Denzel.
[00:05:52] This next one looks like it's from Audre Lorde. Says, when I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.
[00:06:07] Shout out. Shout out to everybody speaking truth to power as well. Let's see here.
[00:06:13] This last one here from as far as with the cousin Jerome cluster of wisdom is going to be from Ella Fitzgerald. So just don't give up what you're trying to do.
[00:06:23] Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong.
[00:06:28] Shout out. Yeah, shout out to those. I have a couple from I know, Blank sent me a couple Bling and Taz. But I do want to read this from Bling.
[00:06:39] As a guy will provide all you need. Definitely. Bling comes with the. Definitely with the faith, heavy motivation and everything like that. So have a lot of those from him.
[00:06:52] And then I had a couple things that I wanted to read from the Internet while we're here.
[00:06:58] All right, Taz, got a couple.
[00:07:00] Let me work.
[00:07:02] Please, let me work.
[00:07:04] All right.
[00:07:05] I know you gonna dig this. Never give up on someone with a mental illness. When I is replaced by we, illness becomes wellness.
[00:07:18] Come on, y'. All. Give it up to Taz. Shout out to Taz.
[00:07:23] All right. Worry pretends to be necessary, but serves no useful purpose.
[00:07:28] Five.
[00:07:30] That's five.
[00:07:32] All right. And then I wanted to read off this.
[00:07:36] This thing that I saw online, y'. All.
[00:07:40] Okay, let's see here.
[00:07:43] Says, crazy but true habits proven by science to rewire.
[00:07:48] All right, it's about 19 of them. So let's see if I can get through them here and be clear still and see. Number one says chew gum while studying. It improves memory recall, boosts concentration, and even reduces stress. While learning, your brain gets a subtle focus boost that keeps it alert and engaged. Number two, Give your sabotaging voice a name and personality. I don't know about that, but okay. All right. This simple trick weakens its control and strengthens your emotional regulation.
[00:08:24] Number three. Brush your teeth with your non dominant hand.
[00:08:28] It stimulates neuroplasticity, creates new neural connections, and boosts your cognitive flexibility. Okay, I can see that.
[00:08:37] Number four. Use the same perfume.
[00:08:40] When studying and working towards your goals, your brain links the scent to focus and performance, helping you get into flow faster. All right, we'll try that out.
[00:08:51] Number five. Celebrate before it happens. I don't know. Moving your body as if you've already won triggers dopamine and builds a success mindset. I will say real quick about that one. Have seen poker players kinda speak their hands into existence, So I see where they going with that. 6. I love this one. Choose your digital diet wisely.
[00:09:13] Every post you consume trains your brain. Replace junk content with creators who help you think clearer and live better. I've tagged some great ones in the caption. That's from the person that made the post, of course. All right.
[00:09:26] 7. Walk barefoot on grass or sand for 10 minutes a day. Direct content. Direct contact with the earth, reduces inflammation, lifts your mood and calms your nervous system.
[00:09:37] All right, number eight. For 21 days, write an affirmation with your non dominant hand. It Activates new brain areas and deepens mindfulness. All right, number nine, before bed, take one minute to thank.
[00:09:52] I think like probably to thank for something that hasn't happened yet.
[00:09:56] So to to be thankful for something that hasn't happened yet, like it's already real. Gratitude improves sleep and boost your well being. Okay, all right, number 10, switch it up. Hot showers start, cold finish. Your brain gets a boost in dopamine and norepinephrine for a happier and clearer mind. Nor nor a panophrenal crying anyways. But to that point, you know, again, you don't got to get David Goggins with it and just jump into an ice cold bath or shower. Start off with that hot shower, switch it up. If you got a shower head that changes the settings where it like changes to mist, I would recommend before you switch it all the way to cold, just turn it on to the mist and that kind of help is that ease into the cold shower. Done it plenty of times, but anyways, moving on. Number 11. Give yourself three minutes of silence each day. Just you eyes closed, tuning into your body.
[00:10:55] It lowers stress and strengthens your brain's clarity.
[00:11:00] Number 12. Mirror what inspires you? Your brain subconsciously copies what it sees. Following people who embody what you want strengthens those patterns in your own life.
[00:11:11] Okay, standing. Number 13. Stand in front of the mirror and speak as if you're already your best self. Come on. Positive affirmations and visual visualization strengthen your self image and shape your future actions. I love that one. I love that one. Y' all know I'm wealthy. Come on now. Y' all know I'm wealthy. Number 14.
[00:11:33] Learn a new word daily. It builds new neural connections and keeps your brain agile. Challenge yourself to use the new word in a sentence or write it down. Y' all know I'm a victim of that.
[00:11:44] Number 15.
[00:11:46] Stand while working for 10 minutes every hour. Sitting too long slows your blood flow and fogs your brain. Standing regularly boosts circulation, alertness and productivity.
[00:11:57] All right, number 16. Splash cold water on your face in the morning. It boosts norepinephrine.
[00:12:05] We meet again.
[00:12:07] And then wakes up your nervous system and sharpens your mental clarity like a mini reset. All right, number 17. I don't know about this one, but laugh for no reason for two minutes.
[00:12:19] Okay. Even fake laughter releases dopamine and endorphins, reducing stress and lifting your mood. Two minutes can leave your brain recharged. All right, and then number 18. Draw instead of writing. It sparks creativity, reduces stress and helps you Process thoughts differently, even simple doodles or drawings. Rather, strengthen the brain areas.
[00:12:43] Strengthen brain areas for problem solving and emotional control.
[00:12:47] Awesome.
[00:12:49] Lastly, follow people who make you better. Your feed trains your brain every day. The right content rewires your thinking and keeps you focused on what's actually important.
[00:12:58] So awesome. That was. That was tough. There's a nice little read there on IG Psychology is the name of the page. But a lot of these generic pages I don't like giving too much credit to, but because I don't know what's behind or who's behind what machines are behind them. But great information. Great information.
[00:13:22] Moving forward, though, there's a lot of stuff going on on the Senate floor. I will speak about that in a minute, though. We won't talk about that just yet.
[00:13:35] Haven't done random thoughts or get it off your chest in a while, y'. All.
[00:13:41] Y' all think it's time for that.
[00:13:45] Let's go ahead and get into it, y'. All. Before we do some emails and stuff like that, I do want to talk some random thoughts and a couple of. Get it off your chest.
[00:13:55] Let me see here. I want to start off with.
[00:13:59] I mentioned this on my letter to the DJ Blaze radio show, but what happened to limos, y'? All?
[00:14:06] What happened to limos? Now they're. They're. Their answer when I asked them on the show is that, you know, definitely limos are still around. But also people have opted for, you know, your sprinter vans. Of course, the black trucks and. And Uber blacks are out there. But it's just that limos was. Limos kind of represent a time, man. Limos represent a time. Them Lincoln Town Car limos, y', all, you know, of course you're gonna have your motorcade, Cadillac limos for funeral services and stuff like that. But you talking about, you know, stepping out for your birthday to just. Just to go to the club or something or go to the prom or something like that. And you wanted to just get a nice clean limo seat about, you know, I don't know, seven or eight, I'm sure. People's first time in Vegas, back In the early 2000s, they had the limo vibes and the doing, all of that. So I just had that randomly written down. What happened to limos? What happened to limos?
[00:15:07] And then this one more of a get it off your chest. But when did flamethrowers become a thing?
[00:15:13] Okay, it seems like an item that should be sold or relegated strictly to the black market, but when did flamethrowers, like, become so Accessible on Amazon or wherever people are getting them from. I'm seeing people melt snow or attempt to melt snow with them. They playing with them in their backyards and stuff. This is not things that regular citizens should be equipped with.
[00:15:40] I'm baffled. I'm baffled, and I'm disappointed. I'm disappointed in Jeff Bezos. Well, no, they don't surprise me, but when did. Yeah, flamethrowers. I'm just seeing too many of them, y'. All. I'm seeing too many of them. Right? So that's that random thought.
[00:15:56] Do I have any others right now?
[00:15:59] Doesn't appear. Let me see here. Give me one moment.
[00:16:02] All right? And so before I get this next thing off my chest, I did want this guy Jay Wick, to introduce this next. Get it off my chest. But here we go. So let's see.
[00:16:15] Hold on. Let's see here.
[00:16:18] It's actually. Well, I'll let him introduce the topic, I guess, but we've been teasing it for a couple of weeks now, so I'm glad that we'll be able to talk about it here.
[00:16:29] All right.
[00:16:30] Yeah, I'll let Jay Wig talk to y'. All.
[00:16:35] Look, forgive the profanity. Too early. All right. Look. Yeah. Hey, they be like, where you from? I tell them, say, snake, my pops is eating fried bologna sandwiches on paper plates. Grew up on ebt, BET and GTA My partner got a GED make more than our teachers make.
[00:16:53] All right, Okay.
[00:17:01] I ain't no Boston Rich but we grew up around.
[00:17:05] We grew up around real steppers and some doughboys Them boys ain't on they don't be making no noise Them boys ain't no. They'll never be as big as us. I'm the type to bring that back home and this city up. Okay, so that line coming.
[00:17:27] Some kind of trapper line?
[00:17:52] I played that whole thing just to play that last part there. The all flats part. Okay.
[00:17:59] Why is he keep doing this poy. Like. Like R roll thing with this?
[00:18:06] Once you cross that line, N.
[00:18:15] Yeah.
[00:18:17] Brotherly love to Jay Wick. Oh, y' all let me know, man. Y' all let me know. But listen, the performance is called All Flats. Bringing it. Bringing that into.
[00:18:30] I'm just playing that because the argument and the thing I wanted to get off my chest is, yo, shout out to Be easy, my boy. Be easy, my brother.
[00:18:43] You know, Shout out to L. Shout out to Cheryl Poison.
[00:18:48] But the people that choose, only way. Only drums or only flats.
[00:18:54] Oh, my gosh. I can't. I can't with y' All.
[00:18:57] I can't.
[00:19:04] Crazy.
[00:19:05] Okay. My f.
[00:19:08] There it is.
[00:19:11] All right, all right, all right. Hold on, cuz. We about to get back to this chicken. The chicken wings, y'. All. But hold on.
[00:19:23] All right. Okay. I got a poo, whitey. Okay.
[00:19:32] Oh, pooh. Eisenberg, come on, man.
[00:19:38] Everybody around here. Done.
[00:19:40] Everybody around here.
[00:19:44] All right, yo. All right. Let's stay on task, y'. All. No distracted dystopias, y'. All.
[00:19:49] No distracted dystopias. But, man, Jay Wick, salute. Thank you for the entertainment flip flats performance. All flats. All flats. Okay. Drums or flats, though.
[00:20:00] Be easy. Put it perfectly. Okay. When I was out in Florence, he said, man, I'm eating both, okay? I don't care.
[00:20:07] They both got chicken on it, right? What are we talking about? Do they both have chicken on.
[00:20:12] Yeah. And if I'm. Personally, I enjoy the little viral thing going around with the flats where you learn how to debone the flat and then you take it out clean and you could just eat that with one.
[00:20:27] You know what I'm saying?
[00:20:29] And that's a viral. There's a viral thing going, you know, when I found that out first. So I continue to do that. But when I was asked when I was in Florence a couple weeks ago, be easy made the best.
[00:20:42] The best argument for it, they said, well, well, all right. If you eat in both, then which one you starting with? It don't matter. Whichever one I'm starting when I'm alternating to the next one, the next. You know what I'm saying? Saying if I start with a drum, then I mean the flat next start with a flat, and I mean the drum next. I mean, am I the only one out there that alternates it like that? If I'm drum or flat? See? And ask it for all flats, all drums.
[00:21:05] It allowed the.
[00:21:07] It. It gave the out to these restaurants to add another tier of premium service or like, quote, unquote, premium service. So they. They have the justification to charge an extra dollar for all drums or all flats. And of course, y' all are aware of that already, because y'. All, you know, the people that support that, y' all pay for it. So I understand. But also, I want us to think about this show.
[00:21:34] Let's just put our conspiracy theory hat. This is where I need the X Files thing. I have not gotten the X Files sound yet. I need to go ahead and get that. Hold on. Matter of fact, hold on, hold on, hold on.
[00:21:49] Has anybody stop to think that we. Not even.
[00:21:53] It's not even wings that we really eating right now.
[00:22:02] Okay, so you charging us. Y' all think about how much we get charged for wings or per wing, right? Maybe close to a dollar dial and some change nowadays, depending on where you go. But you get in wingettes and drumettes, you're not getting a full wing. It's a sectioned off piece.
[00:22:18] And then the. Even the tip part. Pause that like, you know what I'm saying? That.
[00:22:25] I wasn't gonna say savages, but that the. The chicken connoisseurs would even tear down.
[00:22:32] That's not even nowhere to be found in certain places. Go to a chicken Chinese food restaurant and you could get some real. Some. It's some. And you get some real wings. They. They even chopping up this.
[00:22:44] So there's a whole conspiracy in that. All right, when we're talking about affordability.
[00:22:48] Come on.
[00:22:49] Wings is becoming delicacy one day. We need to do a list on foods that have flipped on its. On its side, like, on its end. Like, that used to be considered real, you know, nasty or bottom of the barrel, but are now considered, you know, expensive and stuff. I heard somewhere lobster was in that.
[00:23:09] You know, you think about caviar. I wonder, you know, if caviar was ever not touted as expensive or whatnot. Fish eggs. But nevertheless, I digress. I digress. Chicken wings. Had to get that off my chest, y'. All. It's drumettes and wingettes. And if you ask for all drums or all flats, you just being bougie. If you're a dude asking for all drums or all flats, you just kind of being bougie, honestly.
[00:23:37] All right, let's just keep it simple.
[00:23:40] So let's see here.
[00:23:44] Got some other kind of random thoughts I guess I'll throw in here. Yeah. Forgive me, because this could be considered random thoughts or building wisdom. So I wanted to play this first one here.
[00:23:56] Things they want out of life for this. Here we go.
[00:23:59] Most people don't get the things they want out of life for this very reason. You want to rewire your brain. Have you ever heard of the black coffee theory?
[00:24:07] The black coffee theory goes that you go to a coffee shop and you really want a latte. But when you get up to the barista, she asks what you want? And you say, I don't know. I just know that I don't want a black coffee.
[00:24:18] She asks again, but what do you want? You say, I don't know. I just really know that I don't want a black coffee. The barista walks away confused. Confused. She's dealing with Multiple orders. And when it comes time to get yours, the only thing she can recall is black coffee. A few minutes go by, and a black coffee lands on your table because that's all you talked about.
[00:24:42] And most people are living their lives this way, even if they're not vocalizing it. You know, I don't want to be poor. I don't want to be stuck in a feeling of lack. I don't want to feel invisible. I don't want to feel angry.
[00:24:56] Even if you're not vocalizing it, you're internalizing those feelings.
[00:25:01] Whatever you don't want in life, if you focus on that, be prepared to receive it the most.
[00:25:06] You need to be specific, very specific about what you want out of this life.
[00:25:15] All right, I love that man. I don't have that guy's specific name. It was again reposted on social media, but the theory, quote unquote, is called the Black Coffee theory. And me personally, I know I love black coffee. So I'd actually want the black coffee if I'm speaking to the barista.
[00:25:32] Hello.
[00:25:33] But no, I. I definitely appreciate him saying be specific. Be intentional. And you have to speak what you actually want in life and call that out. You know, you can't talk about all of the things that you don't want or that you're looking to avoid. And I speak about what you do want. So shout out, let's see here to him. I got one more thing that I wanted to play.
[00:25:59] This kind of goes into building wisdom, but also part of Black History Month.
[00:26:04] So a little bit of random thoughts in there, but this story talks about black people and butter pecan ice cream. Y' all just say, you welcome, early. You're welcome.
[00:26:19] Did you know that black American racism played a role in the origin of butter pecan ice cream? Here is the backstory. During slavery, after, and then during Jim Crow segregation, black people were often denied vanilla ice cream, except on the Fourth of July. That is because vanilla ice cream was seen as pure and for white people only. While this was never specifically a law, it was definitely known that this was the status quo in Jim Crow era. Throughout the rest of the year, black Americans were limited to only being able to purchase and eat chocolate ice cream. That is, even though a black enslaved man by the name of Edmond revolutionized vanilla to be used in ice cream in the first place. Or Mr. Augustus Jackson invented a way of making ice cream that is still used today, mixing salt and removing eggs and adding new flavors and cream in it. Now, around the mid-1800s, an enslaved brother by the name of Antoine developed a way to cultivate people. Pecans as a commercial crop. With it being so accessible to us, our ancestors began adding pecans and butter to vanilla ice cream when they were able to purchase it, just so they can have variety. And then it was no longer considered pure white. Now, the flavor would gain popularity among black Americans then and even now, but few know the history behind it.
[00:27:26] All right, so there's. Listen. And when I find these passages or these. These videos and stuff like that, you know, admittedly so there's not a lot of verifying that I do or research on some of them. Some of them. I'll go into it and do a little bit of triangulation of research and try to figure out, you know, the validity of a lot of it.
[00:27:48] Some of it just feels right.
[00:27:50] That one feels a little right. That feels a little true. Again, I could follow up with it as well, but it's just I always try to figure out why my mama butter pecan ice cream. The only logical thing is she got it from my grandmother, who got it from my great grandmother. And, you know, whenever it came to shopping. So I don't know, I just wanted to share that with y', all, though, you know, Y' all can feel free to share with me what you feel about the butter pecan ice cream or the black coffee theory or the drums versus flats Saga. Drummettes and Wingettes.
[00:28:28] Saga, if you will.
[00:28:30] Yeah. How would you do that? You could.
[00:28:32] Plenty of ways. Follow us on IG Manded@ Mandatory OT.
[00:28:37] All right, that's one way you can email us. Email us mandatory ot704gmail.com or give us a call on the hotline. 704-781-7011. We're still trying to figure out a good name for the Highland, like the call out line or something.
[00:28:55] The HR line. The work line. We'll figure it out. But those are the different ways you can interact with us. Definitely. Feel free to send us a message or two whenever you.
[00:29:06] Whenever you'd like to. Okay. All right.
[00:29:09] Moving forward, I'm gonna keep this quick with the alpha lunch because I'm gonna get to this voice note in a second.
[00:29:16] Let's pass out for lunch again. Second week off of the Daniel fast.
[00:29:19] I went ahead and hit up Kyle the other day.
[00:29:23] It's one of my regrets. Is going within the last hour that they're open. I hate doing it.
[00:29:30] You know, the customer services is touch and go. It'll be hit or miss whenever you do that. But also the. A lot of the food options and stuff like that is, you know, not. Not fresh. They're not making any more roasted vegetables for the evening and stuff like that. But, yeah, did my thing. Got some kava, you know, my regular green and grains bowl. So. Salute to kava's very anticlimactic this week with the out for lunch segment. I'll tell y' all this. I have not gotten back heavy, heavy on cheese yet.
[00:30:07] Yeah. Oh, I. I did hit Eddie's place the other day, though. Shout out to Eddie's place down there. Brotherly love. Shout out to Alan out there and all of that. But I did hit that the other day for breakfast. But nevertheless, I have not been eating too much, like, heavy cheese and heavy dairy since getting back from the. Getting off of the. The fast.
[00:30:27] So I'll just share that with y' all before we move forward into our next segment. We do got one.
[00:30:36] I do got one voice note that I did want to play here.
[00:30:41] Hello. Please leave a message after the tone.
[00:30:47] Yo, something I want to get off my chest, and it's common. Kill two birds with one stone with this segment.
[00:30:59] Getting off my chest and conversations with myself, you know what I'm saying? We ain't gonna do conversations at work. We're going to specialize and just say, this is conversations with myself. Man, stop procrastinating.
[00:31:14] You know what I'm saying? Stop procrastinating, I said. I say that because, man, been dealing with suspended license for I don't know how long. Let's just say an example.
[00:31:29] Dealing with a suspended license for four years, let's just say. Right.
[00:31:34] Took care of some business today.
[00:31:37] Damn. They got everything done in four hours.
[00:31:40] Maybe a little less than that.
[00:31:42] You'd be surprised how fast you get things done.
[00:31:46] You don't procrastinate.
[00:31:49] Less procrastination, more proactivity.
[00:31:53] Peace.
[00:31:56] Do the knowledge. I know you gonna dig this. Yeah. Shout out to my brother Sock for that voice note. Definitely agree with you. Less procrastination.
[00:32:07] You know, I try my best to try to avoid being that procrastinating perfectionist. And more proactivity. Definitely, like, gotta move. Gotta just do something. You know what I mean? Just make. Make the movements that it's not gonna feel like you ain't gonna want to, but just do it. Just do it. Make moves towards it or whatnot. So salute. Brother, I appreciate you again for the voice note and. And thank you for being vulnerable as well, man. You know what I'm saying? It's the only way that we could grow as a community is we got to share and be real honest with each other and stuff like that about those different situations. So salute to you, my brother. I had a couple of things to go through or to go over with y'. All. This is gonna be sort of seen as the Carolina Sports Talk short segment or whatnot, something like that.
[00:32:57] I ain't get big cliffs.
[00:33:01] I didn't get his permission to use the title, but he'll be all right. He'll be all right. He knows what's up. But this is the Carolina Sports Talk sponsored segment of the show. I'm just gonna be touching on this couple lightly.
[00:33:14] Some sports topics and things like that. Sports stories going on. Okay. First Super Bowl. Baboni. Okay. How many of y' all saw that?
[00:33:23] Bab on Super Bowl?
[00:33:26] Nah. Shout out and congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks.
[00:33:31] They beat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. And Bad Bunny performed at halftime, stirred up a lot of controversy. Listen, man, I grew up in Queens, New York. I keep telling y', all, man. All right, that's nothing to me, man. That's nothing to me, man. The. The halftime show. I know everybody didn't grow up in Queens, man, but there's nothing to me, man. I enjoyed it, man. I enjoy the show of halftime.
[00:34:02] Let me chill. Let me chill, because we already talked about me mocking other cultures, but from what I saw, everything that I saw, great production, you know, awesome performance and everything like that with. With Bad Bunny, so shout out to him. Wanted to move forward with our Carolina Sports Talk.
[00:34:21] You know, rewind or recap. Catch up, if you will.
[00:34:24] The Knicks made a trade, y'. All. Hello, The Knicks.
[00:34:29] The Knicks made a trade to.
[00:34:46] Now. They did.
[00:34:49] I think we lost the last two games out of three.
[00:34:53] I don't know, Something like that. We lost to Detroit that we won and just beat Boston.
[00:34:59] And then we lost once again.
[00:35:04] Recently, we lost that home to Indian Indiana. So the Knicks made a trade to acquire Jose Alvarado, native New Yorker.
[00:35:14] I think it's a great move, especially while Miles McBride is hurt, you know, awesome move. But if y' all recall, Alvarado is one of those names that I brought up earlier this season. Whenever it comes to the glue guys, the Tyler Coelix of the world, The Carusos or McConnells of the world. I bought up Alvarado's name, so. And then also for him to be a New Yorker, it feels good to have him on the Knicks. Yo, he's got this patented steel move where he kind of goes at the ball Handler and kind of baits them by, you know, tap in there, decide that they're dribbling the ball on and makes them cross the ball over, like, while he's behind him, makes him cross the ball over and then swipes. Swipes. So he's very, very good defensive specialist. I'm excited. Also, Diawara has been showing a lot of promise. Number 51 for the Knicks been showing a lot of promise, so salute to him as well.
[00:36:09] We talk trades out here in Charlotte. We've had a. A trade as well.
[00:36:17] They traded for Kobe White. They got rid of Colin Sexton. You know, Colin Sexton has been here for the majority of the year, but they traded for Kobe White. Interested to see how that's going to turn out for us. I actually was invited to the Hornets game this past week when the Hornets played the Detroit Pistons. So I did want to show some brotherly love real quick.
[00:36:38] So shout out to the white man. Though he considered show love, but shout out to the white man. Mr. Bennett invited me out there.
[00:36:48] They know that I'm interested in getting a season tickets with the Hornets, so they invited me out there for a game Winding down your boy.
[00:36:55] And so the Hornets, they traded for Kobe White. But at the Pistons game, listen, man, it went down, y', all.
[00:37:08] Like malice at the Palace. It was the.
[00:37:11] The kerfuffle at the Spectrum or whatever. Like, it was. It went down. It was a little brawl that went down. If y' all haven't seen or haven't heard about it, the Hornets and the Pistons is brawling a little bit. Four people total got it ejected. There's Miles Bridges, Musa Diabate for the Hornets, and then for the Pistons, Jalen Duran and Isaiah Stewart got ejected. So it was a scrap for the ages.
[00:37:41] It. Every time that you thought it was kind of contained and chilling, it would just broke out again. So just Google Hornets, Pistons fight on. On YouTube or something and you'll see what I'm talking about, y'. All. But that definitely happened. I was in the building saluting brotherly love to my brother Nick for coming out from Greenville and showing love as well.
[00:38:04] He's originally from Detroit, so I'm glad that we got to go out there and check that out. Man, that was a lot of fun. A whole lot of fun. But shout out to Ben once again with that. Really appreciate that.
[00:38:16] Let's go ahead and move forward. Let y' all know, J. Cole, he did make his way to Charlotte this past week. I didn't catch him, but he's on his like this Honda Civic, back on the road tour type thing, selling CDs out of the trunk as a marketing move. We're pushing the album and stuff this first week. So he had made his way on 85 through Greensboro and made his way to Charlotte, and he drove to Atlanta. Oh, they. They did stop in Greenville, of course, though, as well, and they drove to Atlanta and stopped. So salute to jcole for the creativity.
[00:38:55] I don't. I don't knock him. It's been about a week so far with the album to live with the album, a week and some change. So I really, really am enjoying it. It's started growing me, you know, the older me again, I'm just appreciating it for the art that it is. The more and more critique that I'm hearing from people out there, it's like I'm thinking in my head, you wouldn't have been satisfied anyways. What. What do you really want?
[00:39:19] So salute to J. Cole for. For being different, daring to be different. But I salute people for executing strategies at the end of the day. So the execution of this strategy, I love it, man. I love it. Could create a strategy, come up with a game plan in the war room with a team, and come out there and execute what you. What you designed. So I love it. Salute to that, brother. Salutes J. Cole.
[00:39:46] Check out the fall off. If you haven't checked it out yet, y' all, let me know what y' all think of it. No email or call us in email or call.
[00:39:55] So I can sense. But okay, we're gonna move forward, right?
[00:40:04] I want to move forward to some random things heard on the Senate floor this week, but it's getting a little bit more and more sad the this today. Actually, this is the 11th, I believe. Yeah. February 11th, Wednesday, February 11th. Pam Bondi, the Attorney General, was play put on and went through a hearing, and there was several different clips that came out of pretty much of.
[00:40:34] Of her with the hearing today. But I had to, you know, try to keep it down to the minimum for us.
[00:40:41] So I have that, and then I have a classic crash out. Well, I have the. The proof of Cash Patel perjuring himself. So we'll just do that one first with these people. Let's see here. Give me one second here. All right, here's Cash Patel.
[00:41:00] There is no credible information.
[00:41:03] None. If there were, I would bring the case yesterday that he trafficked to other individuals. And the information we have, again, is limited. So the answer is no. 1.
[00:41:13] For the information that we have in the files in the Case file. Okay. There is no credible. It sound like he lying, but anyways, that's what he said back September 16, 2025, that he trafficked to other individuals. And the information we have again is limited. So the answer is no. 1.
[00:41:31] For the information that we have in the files. In the case file. Okay. For the information that we have. What? No. Stop qualifying stuff, bro. You're a liar.
[00:41:43] Lock him up for lying. I'm just reading some comments. Lock him up for lying under oath. To start impeach charged for lying under oath. Make consequences. Great again, we all knew he was lying at the time. Now we have the evidence.
[00:41:55] I really can't wait for accountability to come from Mr. Patel.
[00:41:59] What a liar. A disgrace to humankind.
[00:42:02] Damn government can't tell the truth about anything. Now, perjury. This is what. These are what the comments are saying. Corruption at its worst. Impeach, convict, remove imprison all of them.
[00:42:14] When is he going to be impeached and prosecuted for perjury? Like, this is what we're dealing with. Like there is no complete trust in the American people.
[00:42:22] And here is Pam Pondi today. I'm gonna play this again. This is a short though, but I'm gonna play this.
[00:42:29] Excuse me. I'm gonna answer the question. You don't tell me. Oh, I did tell you because we saw what you did in the Senate. Lawyer. Not even a lawyer. In contrast to these politically motivated investigations, grasping is something they can charge their enemies with. We now have concrete evidence of disgusting criminality revealed in the Epstein files. So I have just. So I really have just one question for you.
[00:42:53] How many of Epstein's co conspirators have you indicted? How many perpetrators are you even investigating? It's a quantitative question, by the way. Y' all.
[00:43:02] First you showed it. I find it. How many have you indicted? Excuse me, I'm gonna answer the question. Answer my question. No, I'm gonna answer the question the way I want to answer the question.
[00:43:16] I'm not gonna get in the gutter with these people. I'm going to answer the question. How many of you invited again? The time belongs. Framing my time. The time belongs. I think it's very interesting. My time. I think it's very interesting.
[00:43:28] Talks about they indict him. The President said they indicted him. Mr. Chairman, please stop the clock and. Stop the clock and restore his time.
[00:43:37] Time belongs. Gentleman from New York, we will give you a few more seconds. We will do that. But when you ask a question, the witness gets. You may not like the answer, but she Gets to question was how many of Epstein. They don't like the answer. Chairman, my time. Because it's honest.
[00:43:54] So he asked a four minute question. Restore 45 seconds. Mr. Naber, please. Mr. Chairman, you can let her filibuster all day long, but not on our watch.
[00:44:04] Not on our time. No way. And I told you about that Attorney General before you started. You don't tell me. No, I did tell you because we saw what you did in the. The Senate lawyer. Not even a lawyer. Mitty will be in order. I should get back at least 45 seconds. We will give you a few more seconds. I said that already. 45 seconds. Okay, I will. I'm timing right now. Mr. N my time. The answer to my question, how many of Epstein's co conspirators has she indicted is zero.
[00:44:30] Excuse me, I'm going to answer the question. So that's why essentially she wasn't answering because the answer was zero. It's a quantitative question.
[00:44:40] It doesn't require anything other than a number.
[00:44:44] And she started it off with, first of all, in pointing fingers and deflecting and that's that. I'll save y' all the time if y' all haven't seen the hearing today. I've really honestly seen about two hours of it. That is the majority of the hearing today. So I know I mentioned earlier, you know, you got to watch your digital diet, watch the things that we consume and stuff every day. And very aware of that. But while these things are going on, proverbially speaking, we're watching the party die right before us.
[00:45:13] And I've. I've. I've had this sense for years now, you know, that righteousness will. Will overcome the wickedness in this world. And that ultimately there are good people out there and in. In all of this like corruption and, and things like that will be brought to life. Because all it seems like they attempt to do while they're deflecting and distracting is to suppress the real criminals out here, right? These real. The real predators, these thugs, I don't know, gangsters, whatever. The real criminals, they're looking to suppress it. But I've learned by looking at all of this. Suppression just simply leads to exposure.
[00:46:03] As you try to hide something and suppress it, it leads to exposure. I think about how they have like those hydraulic presses and things like that, and presses that, that press down on anything, right? Anything in jelly beans, you have whatever a water balloon. I don't know. They have a bunch of different stuff and they'll press down on. And regardless of whatever it is.
[00:46:25] The elements in that item, if it can't be contained when it, when it presses down on it, it spreads out outside of that hydraulic press or the press of whatever, and you see the elements of it oozing out of the sides and that's what it feels like. They're trying to suppress so much crime and corruption by the government at once and keep just continuing to distract. That is turning into mass exposure. The world is on notice on how corrupt the US government is. The world is on notice about all of this criminal activity going on between the USA and these other countries out here that rhyme with Bizra.
[00:47:08] I don't know if AI going to get me for that one, y', all, but I'm just saying let's keep it funky. So again, suppression leads to exposure was done in another words, was done in. The dark will come to light. So let's not ever forget that. And I. And that leads me to my next point. We're living in an age, for whatever reason of like doomsday mongering in. In fear kind of mongering and things like that. And I just don't subscribe to it.
[00:47:40] I spoke last week about how powerful words are.
[00:47:43] I think is real, real powerful, and that we control a lot of our destiny and our.
[00:47:49] We control a lot of our reality.
[00:47:53] So when, again, when people started calling each other demons, savages, putting things on the big God, you know, using his name in vain, I stepped back from all of that. Okay, I was cool off of that because I know how powerful words are. But again, since we've been doing that, let's look around.
[00:48:15] All right, Brooms, putting brooms on the side, standing them up and all of that stuff. Look where we at.
[00:48:22] But in addition to that, like doomsday type of mentality, if you will, it's also like a, like a super pessimistic mentality, I would say, like that for some reason, like they've won or there's nothing that we could do. Now this is unprecedented. We're seeing, yes, child predators just simply being protected by governments and stuff like that. I don't know if it's blackmail that got anything to do with it, but, you know, it's, it's sick and disgusting. But you choose fear. I mean, you choose. Yeah, you choose fear, you choose faith. You know, you can, you can choose one or the other. You can't. They can't occupy in the same place. So I'm not going to choose to be fearful of none of these cowards, of none of these criminals, none of these pedophiles, of none of these sick ass predators. And none of them. I'm not. I'm not fearful of them, all right? I'm. I'll choose faith over fear.
[00:49:26] And then all of that doomsday stuff like, y', all, we're cooked out here, y'. All. Yo, it's over out here, all right? Yo, they got us, y'. All. It's all over. It's a duck. Nah, nah, I'm not. I'm not believing or subscribing to that either. So I hope y' all take with that, which I will, and take something of value of, like, with that, because I'm. I'm just not a doomer or whatnot. I hate that.
[00:49:51] You know, we got older people as well that are doomers, but there's a lot of people that's in their 20s and 30s that just accepted where we're at and accepted where, you know, where this country is at. And I just. I just don't.
[00:50:03] People lighten them, Lighten it up, I guess, or trivialize stuff by kind of saying, making remarks or joking remarks about Donald Trump. But he is not competent to run a nation as a global power. We have been losing strength and losing power for a while now. So it's just something to think about. All right? It's just something to think about. Yo. All right. I. I wanted to go ahead and move forward this week. We want to switch it up a little bit. Instead of doing high star bars. Wanted to do some stand up. Some high star stand up bars. I don't. I don't know. I don't know. It's still high star bars, bro.
[00:50:48] It's still high star bars, bruh.
[00:50:52] But this week is the comedy edition of it, all right? The stand up edition. So we're gonna go ahead and go into these hostile bars. I hope y' all enjoy, and then we'll get back to brotherly love and get on out of here, all right? I grew up in a home where they cleaned up.
[00:51:13] They cleaned up in the home I grew up in.
[00:51:17] I got married.
[00:51:25] And I went to a home where they straightened up.
[00:51:38] Cleaning up and straightening up, two different things.
[00:51:45] All straightening up requires you to do is get everything out of sight.
[00:51:51] That's. We got company coming over. Get it up.
[00:51:54] You can put it under the bed, in the closet, in the garage, throw it in the backyard. Just get it out of here.
[00:52:01] And then Febreze everything.
[00:52:09] Cleaning up.
[00:52:10] You smell it before you see it.
[00:52:13] Put the key in the dough. Soon as you open it, you already smell bleach.
[00:52:19] Pine, saw pine. O pine.
[00:52:23] Fabulous.
[00:52:29] Cleaning up requires a wet rag, not a wet nap. Put that back in your purse. A wet rag.
[00:52:38] See, you got everybody up at night with all this.
[00:52:44] You think it's your allergies. No, no, no. If you get a wet rag, get all that dust off that ceiling fan, But don't miss it.
[00:53:03] Because if you leave early and don't let the marriage mature, if I would have aborted that thing, I never would have seen the girl who fix.
[00:53:21] Become a cooker.
[00:53:27] If I don't let the marriage mature and I leave early, I never would have seen the girl who straightened up.
[00:53:41] Well, we really got a housekeeper. Come in.
[00:53:46] Yo, shout out to that brother. I. I don't have.
[00:53:50] Man. I don't have his name. Yo.
[00:53:52] It was just. It was a clip on IG Hilarious, though. Hilarious. Yo, shout out to him. I'm seeing something in real time right now. Cash Patel and Cat Williams. Joke for casual chill. Let me tell you, I'm gonna share that with myself.
[00:54:12] I can check that out later. But, yeah, man, that.
[00:54:16] Salute to that, brother. Salute to that High star bars comedy edition this week all so it's about that time. Show love. It don't show nothing. It don't cost nothing to show a. I was doing this game.
[00:54:33] Some love.
[00:54:36] I know you gonna dig this. All right, so I definitely wanted to show some love to my.
[00:54:44] One of my frat brothers, my brother Tim. The epsilon Omega chapter of Omega sci fi fraternities M3 entered in to the omega chapter, which means that he's transitioned on and passed on.
[00:54:57] So just definitely wanted to give my love, condolences, and rest in peace to that brother.
[00:55:05] Certainly. Brotherly love to my brother. Sock. Thank you again for sending that voice note in Brotherly love to my brothers at Crux Media. Of course. Be easy. L. Yoshi.
[00:55:17] Brotherly love to my big bro. Cliff was kind of globetrotting this past week. Cliff missed us at.
[00:55:25] At poker night. Cliff didn't come out to poker night this past week, but shout out to Cliff stomping around the globe.
[00:55:33] Shout out to my brothers. Q. Definitely. Fat boy mix master T. Certainly, you know, salute to everybody, man. I. You know, I'm never.
[00:55:45] I guess I never have everyone that I want to include, but brotherly love to A. AB My brother AB all the people at work and stuff that I rock with. Brotherly love to y' all as well.
[00:55:58] But, you know, certainly with that all being said, I want to end this off with supreme faith that's in God. I want to lead us with a prayer that's straight from the heart. May the ego and the hubris never break us apart. And from one brother to another, if nobody ever told you before, for I love you. All right. Peace out, y'. All.
[00:56:19] Hey, everybody, it's closing time.
[00:56:22] You don't got to go home, but you can't stay here.
[00:56:31] Closing time.
[00:56:34] Do the now.
[00:56:36] I know you going to dig this.
[00:56:39] Use a freaky ass, nigger.
[00:56:49] Damn, son. Where'd you find this? I'm a member of osega omega sci fi fraternity. When it's cold outside.
